VY SS Interior Peeling

Hi there people,

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the chrome part of their interior.

The steering wheel accents, gear knob and even the airbag badge have started to bubble and will soon peel away... Only 4 years old...

Is this a common problem? Manufacturing defect?

Interesting to know if it is happening to others.

haven't had that problem, but centre console silver trim worn, i know the trims aren't that expensive, $40 or so for the centre console silver trims and instrument cluster surround i think is the same or simmilar priced, got quotes for vy ss, but the rest are ok, done 160,000 km's and an 02 model, leather boot on gear shift was splitt too, but other than that no real problems, these are genuine part prices too

My freinds WL caprice had her silver part on the automatic shifter peeling. Was fixed under warranty.

Was thinking this morning about making a post about this. My Top right hand side steering wheel spoke is bubbling badly, looks ****! Also have a little bit on my gear lever. only way to fix is to replace i guess.

Bah, $30 for 3 new spokes isn't worth getting in a twist about it.

I thought I would be up for a lot more than $30.

Nup, $30 will get you your steering wheel spokes from holden, i got them when i had my vy and that's what i paid.
You can always try ebay too.Some sell them on there as kits so you get the handbrake, gear shift and wheel.

bit of a pain in the ass changing them too. I'm not fussed ill wait til they peel which might be never
