    Default redback exhaust

    Hi guys, 2 questions:
Would it be easy for me to fit a catback exhaust 2.5" to my vy ss?
Should i get a redback with a rear muffler or without a rear muffler (i.e. straight through).

    Thanks.

Fairy easy to fit, if you've got access to a pit or hoist it will make life easier.
Mine's a redback and i'm rapt with it, i've got a rear muffler on mine and i like it,doesn't drone at idle or on the open road but has a strong note.

keep the resinator on the rear don't want a v8 to draw to much attention and drown @ high rpm.If you go a cat back exhaust x force make A system which is a off the shelf item you can buy m8 ready made just bolt on. Go highflow cat,and even headers if you can afford it. Nice shinny tip and all is good.
    Cheers.

I'm getting pacemaker tri-y's and magnaflow stainless steel cats fitted on tuesday... currently my car has what i think is a 2.25" press bent cat back exhaust.. I might just leave that on for the time being until i get the cash to buy a redback cat back exhaust, then either fit it myself or get it fitted.

yeh there easy as to fit, does anyone know what the x-force twin 2.5" stainless cat back system sounds like with the twin hotdogs in the middle and rear muffler on a gen3 auto? apposed to the twin 2.5" stainless x-force system with center and rear mufflers?

Hi guys car went in today... just wondering the guy offered me $100 for the original pipes (extractors and cats)... is it worth selling them or should they be kept?
ALSO when they fit the cats, should they replace the pipes in between the cats to a wider 2.5" pipe, or do they use existing pipes?

    Thanks.

It depends on whether they 'open' them to 2.5" in/out, or just weld new flanges to the existing pipe. 2.5" in/out is better for flow.
