Default Ve Wheels On A Vy

    Hi all

So im in the market for a new set of wheels asap and im considering a set of either VE SS or VE SSV. Ive got a preference to holden originals as I think they always look best on any commodore. With these two selections ive got my options open as to 18's (SS) or 19's (SSV). I know I will need to have them machined to fit but this isnt a problem.

Is anyone running these on their VY? I would be really interested in seeing some pics if so.. or would i could locate some pics

Ive also seen the VE SS wheels with a black gloss finish like these below.. These cant be originals right?

as you said it, those pictured ones are fakes, Wheel King > Home appears to have the best deal on gen. holden rims and tyres, they are machined to fit aswell btw.

just as i mentioned before, the ve hubs have a slightly smaller hub so they need to be machined to fit the larger hubs on the vn to vz commodores, if they arnt machined the wheels will still bolt up but they will snap the wheel studs off after a short time

who cares if its a vz or vy? They look almost the same. That pic is just meant to give an idea of what it'll look like.

    I think they look great

Sweet as... Thanks for the pics guys. They really do look quite good indeed. Would be good to see the SSV ones loaded up too.

What do ppl think of the gloss black finish applied to pic i first displayed?

dont bother with them, they are fakes and nowhere near as durable as genuine rims

Those wheels really set the VZ off beautifully. Funny how wheels often do a better job of dressing up superceded models than the model they were designed for. I think that design looks better on the VT/Z body shape than on the VE.
