    Default cigarette lighter socket

Hi, a question about the plug underneath the centre console that the optional cigarette lighter plugs into. There are three prongs, one is accessory power, one is dash light power, is the other one earth i take it? Thanks for your answer.

If there's 2 forms of power there, surely an earth would be required (I don't know what plug you're talking about, never looked).

Only if it's a Calais. Other models had a black blanking plug fitted in the console, which is a dead ringer for the lens , except the light isn't fitted. When you remove the plug, you can see that it is moulded exactly the same as the lens. Cheap bastards - they could at least have put a clear lens in all models instead of making a separate one in black plastic.
