    Default Fuel question

I just looked at my fuel/100km meter and it's sitting at 17.2/100km @ average speed of 22.5kmph. Surely this is wrong. Any help much appreciated.

    tell me about it...

my theory is that it indicated consumption increases hugely whilst stationary.

it would be right if you do a lot of stop start driving.
the best way to see how it works is next time you are going to do some highway driving, reset the trip meter when you start on the highway, then look at the average speed. then when you get into town/city, watch how quick your average speed will drop.
when i did my first big trip in my crewy i watched the av speed, it was 108km ofter about 300 km of driving, but after driving about 10km in town to my mates place it dropped to av speed of 80.
heres my ride, i know its not much but its mine

When you fill the tank and reset the computer the l/100 will often start as high as 40 l/100 and after a short amount of driving it will come down. Remember it is an average of your driving from when the computer was reset. To get a better idea you need to select the instant fuel usage setting for litres per hundred. In this setting you can see minute variations subject to speed, driving style, effect of going up and down hills etc. It is a far better guide to manage your driving style/habits.

Try this When you are driving bring up the l/100 ks and hold the set button for about 8 secs and it will reset it,it will take about 1/2 kl to start reading again and that should give you a better reading
