    Yay, they're learning! lol

But to answer your question, yes it will sound like poo, but if your really keen. 2.5" is all you need, any bigger and it’s to loud.

I had a redback 2.5" mandrel bent on my ecotec vy auto. Wasn’t that loud and had absolutely no drone. No noticeable performance gain

Hundreds of people have commented on your exhaust? Do you like ask everyone you drive past how your exhaust sounds?

This is a v6 with a very nice tone. It has a lukey 2.5" system and I think it isn't running a rear resi but I'm not sure. Thats what the guy said anyway.

You won't get a nice sound by drilling the muffler. You would get a louder sound that would sound like crap. People will do that to your car if they don't like you. Just like keying a car.

Not really, to change the sound you have to change quite a bit of the actual exhaust. So a cat back is what most well all people do to get a more 'sporty' sound. Then extractors. Which changes the sound again.

You can take the rear muffler off but:

    1. It will sound terrible
    2. It will sound terrible in the car
    3. Refer to 1 and 2

Look on ebay or the classifieds section on here

How cheap do you want? This is one of the cheaper options you can do to your car. To increase your intake with SS Inductions thats about $500. Thats just a bit of molded plastic!!!

for a v6 go a 2.25 dual cat back....if you can get your hands on a hsv/ ss cat back off a v8 it will do the job well....to do the job right you will need to get extractors get pacemaker and hi flow cats......once you have done this get a cold air intake..and a hi flow panel filter ( k&N or Lukey)
it shud put a smile on your face....itl sound great go better and use less fuel
    ciao
