as far as I know, the impco systems do hook up because they are the factory ones. I'm not 100% sure but I think this is the case.

apparently you can NOT use factory impco systems with MANUAL VY's

    something to do with backfires....

    however i may be wrong.

ok after some research ive found that VYsam was correct the air box gets severly blown apart from backfires however there is another system i can use, VAPOUR INJECTION. this is a much better sys but twice the price and does not hook up to the fuel gauge or trip comp but at least no backfire probs

yeh VSI has been around for quite a while, over here in WA i can get my entire gas conversion free (we get a $3k rebate) so really i cant justify spending $1600 on a vapour kit when i can get a mixer for $0...

but yeh, vapour is apperently MUCH better.

and LIQUID eats everything for dust!!!!
Increase in power, over petrol, of at least 5%.
Saw and drove 6L VE today with liquid injection and there is a noticable difference between petrol and gas.
This is the future of LPG. It puts evrything else to shame.
Will be available from next month onwards.

For $500 extra it sounds worth it. Are these new and hard to find?

I met a fitter from Woolongong at training on Friday. Don't know the name of his shop but I think he'd be the only guy close to you ATM. We are selected fitters for the first 6 to 9 months, so it will be hard to find. My waiting listr i9s about 4 months allready before any liquid injection orders. AND i ALLREADY HAVE heaps of orderd for liquid so the wait could end up being 6 months by the end of next week.

Correct, a Manual VY CANNOT be converted to gas using the factory kit. I have been told basically the same, when I tried to get my VY fitted with Factory IMCO kit. Basically Holden haven't released any software for the Manuals and by installing it with the automatic software, it causes backfiring, blowing airboxes, etc.
