My key stopped working.. :(

So i was getting in my car yesterday morning and the unlock button on my key stopped working. It still locks so i know it isnt the battery.
Really anoying especially coz the bloody alarm goes off every time i open the door with the key!

Any ideas on how much it'll cost to get a new one? Or would they just fix it?

Also how much is it for a new key coz i've lost my spare too!!

Mine did the same thing where the buttons on the key would do nothing. I unlocked the car with the key physically in the key hole and once I opened the door the alarm went off but stopped once I turned on the ignition.

I then switched off the ignition, got out, locked the car with the buttons on the key.

Pressed the buttons to unlock the car and it worked, tested boot button, worked too.

this is a pain in the arse it has not happened on my vy yet, but my wife has a zafira and it happened all the time. so we got a second hand key from the wreckers and reprogramed it dont know if the repogramming is the same on a vy/vz but we had to put the key in the ignition turn to reds and press one of the buttons twice, oh and the door had to be shut found that out the hard way.
