stock headunit vy with amp and speakers

Gday,
I want to replace the factory fitted speakers in the my 03 Vy commodore with component speakers hence i have to buy an amp too. The only thing is i want to keep the stock blaupunkt headunit, but there are no RCA outputs to pulg an amp into. How can i fix this? How much will it cost? And thirdly will it decrease the sound quality if i do this instead of getting a new headunit.
****I am getting $600 speakers and a fairly expensive amp also.

you can buy fairly high powered amps that run off speaker connections instead of RCA...
Also jaycar sells the connector box from speaker to RCA for about 30 bucks
