Hey all, as stated in the titel, do you know if the VY S1 Exec come out with a immobilizer that meets Aus standards?

    Good old insurance companies.

If not, any suggestions of a add on alarm/immobilizer that will work under the factory remote?

i'm pretty sure every commo since the vr/s came wih an immobiliser standard, i'd say if they did it would have to be to aus standards. check redbook.com.au, it would tell you what the car came with
Chev badges are an instant fail

Actually already had a look on there, and it just says "immobilizer". For it to meet AUS standards it needs to be at least a 2 point immobilizer..do you know what sort of immobilizer the car came out with?

FYI it also came with an alarm standard.

I'm 99% sure that all VY Commodores are equiped with an immobilizer that meets Australian Standards. Check your manual it should say in there.

hey mate, for a car to be sold in australia it needs to comply with the adr laws, obvious.
So if there is anything on a car e.g safety or immobilizor it must comply if it is on the car

so the vy's s1 came standard with an immob( i know mine did) so therefore it is compliant with the ADR laws, it's only for an aftermarket system you need to check out whether it complies.
