Default Opinions please

At present, I have 17 x 8 five spoke alloys fitted to my car, which were optional for VY Series 1 Calais. I sought advice from this forum as to what they were from some months ago and members were able to advise me from the Wheelking site.

Wheelking are currently selling the proper, VY Series 2 Calais rims for $855 per set of four. I happen to love these rims and am considering purchasing them then selling my current wheels either through this site or on E-bay.

To complicate matters, my son has a VZ Acclaim wagon which he will be selling in about three months, fitted with VY SS rims (17's).

So, I'd like to know what members think.

Do I keep the existing rims, buy the Calais rims or swap with my son? I know that most of the younger members of the forum will go for the SS rims, but I'm older and think the VY 2 Calais wheels were amongs the most attractive factory rims of all.

Hellllpppp!

VY Senator rims only work on senators or if the car is nice and low. Having said that, you're right about the young people. I'm 16 and I would choose the SS rims.

I say go with the VYII Calais rims if you like them so much. You'll always be looking at it wishing you had done if you get either of the others.

Thanks guys. Nothing like a little positive reinforcement for an idea. Calais rims coming up.
