Help Please

[New Supercharger]

Hi all. A friend of mine has a Supercharged VY (similar to mine). He encountered a problem yesterday as follows:

He sped from from standstill. The car hit 120 km/h and wouldn't go beyond that even with him flooring the gas pedal. He says the revs did not go too high either and it seemed like the car was being held back.

He slowed down and sped up again and the car wouldn't go beyond 80 km/h!

He has a automatice car.

Can anyone diagnose his problem?

Not sure, but I had a mate with a VS Calais Super6 - he took it for service 'coz he thort it wasn't going as well as it should....

The found the blower belt had snapped! (it's separate to the main drive belt) They replaced it, and he reckons it took off like a cut cat!

Might not be the issue, but easy enough to check.
