ge the base idle set correctly, it sounds like the blade is sticking in the tb, it may just need a clean, carby clean is good

yeh try the crc and clean the throttle body out with nulon carby clean at the same time, the nulons carby clean (bluey black coloured can) and the crc(red can) can be bought at repco, these are the two best from experience in the trade, and use a rag and old tooth brush to clean the throttle body houseing(inside) and the butterfly too, hold it open with ur hand holding the throttle down on the body and give a good clean with engine off, it will run a bit rough and maybe stall first time after uv cleaned it, but give it a good couple of revs and let it idle and it will be good as gold, and watch the black smoke come out when u rev it then it will be nice and clean good luck with it

take it back to the guy who installed the gas, if he confirms he had nothing to do with it (they all do) then take it back to holden, you should still be under warranty.

I have a slight stick with my VY's throttle and my last car (N13 Pulsar Turbo) had the same thing. It was a tacky throttle body butterfly sticking and was fixed with cpbait's suggestion (carby cleaner through the throttle body)

I'd try that first before looking at the cable itself.

Agreed - my Berlina has TC fitted and AFTER the power is switched off, the next start requires a "blip" on the throttle to get it going. Its not dramatic but if you are trying to get out of a parking space and you need a bit more "finesse" then you have to remember to do this in neutral or park first of all.
