    Default Power steering flush

    I need some simple instructions and photos if possible on power steering flush on a VY.

    undo the 2 hoses on the front they are next to the radiator on the drivers side
    let it drain do them back up and fill it up
    then drain it again and fill it back up

    Will that drain the oil out of the power steering pump.

    it will drain the pump bu you still have the oil in the rack, you wont get all of it but the majority can be changed by draining & refilling it a few times, start the car after each refill & turn the wheel lock to lock about 20 times.

    just make sure when you start the car the resiviour has at least the minimum level of fluid in it otherwise you may be up for a new pump if you run it dry.

    Thanx VNV8driver.Is that good for the steering to turn it full lock 20 times or do you lift the front up then turn it 20 times.

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me how to flush the power steering since the oil is black and sludgy. A simple step by step procedure will be appreciated. If you can add photos to back it up Greeeaaat. Thanks

    Just to add to the above. I have droplet of the steering fluid on the floor. Its a leak. Kindly advise. Thanks.
