    Default installing sound system

I've just gone and bought myself a few goodies from JB. before i attempt to install my sound system alone I'm wondering if anyone could help out.

    1) How do i get above the dash where the tweaters off.
    2) The doors, i assume there are just screws all around the edges
    3) Amp Power cable. Easiest to run from the drivers side?

    Thanks in advance.

To get to tweeters you unsrew the side vent on the side of the dash, there are 3 screws holding that on. Then you unscrew the vent(1 screw) along the windscreen and just pull out towards you to give you access to tweeters.

Most people with Auto VY's run the cable through the Clutch cable grommet and up the driver side.

mines an auto vy and i went through the main harness grommit on the passenger side, bit of a pain, but looks nice and factory as i put it inside conduit wrapping, there is also a small whole(may have a blank grommit, mine didn't though) just below the main harness grommit on the passenger side, would be an easier way( i noticed it after i fought with the main harness grommit), both of them come into the cabin just below the glovebox and you can see when you remove the kick panel under the glove box on l/h side. thats how i went down the l/h side of the vehicle underneath the trims and behind the rear seats and into the boot under the boot carpet, i put the whole of the power cable inside conduit wrapping, to eliminate potential interference(had this problem on my vk, i know different cars, but a good way to make sure), good luck, hope this helps all.

    Thanks for the help!

I finally finished the installation, whopping job but great results!!

Went and bought an MTX Hi-Low converter, could not be happier with the sound.

For the stock tweeters i actually left them in there, they really don't sound terrible, the mid tones go well with the hi-end tweeters from the splits.

Getting the doors off was an absolute mission and a half, the clip inside the window winder was near impossible to get off... would of taken 30 seconds if i had the tools.

I ran the power cables down the drivers side and put the Hi-Low converter just under the glove box. didn't want to risk crossing power with signal.
