VY II Calais

Hey Guys Just wondering if you might be able to help me out,

I have 2 Issues,

I hear this noise now under my dashboard like somethings opening and closing when the cars turned on and again when its turned off... Any Ideas what it might be.. Never heard it until today.

and Also when I turn the Car off the The Backlight and Clock stay on the Cd player display and can be turned on and off without the ignition to acc..

Some help and Ideas Greatly Appreciated

The clock and radio will stay on when the car is turned off and key is removed until the driver door is opened. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks that does help,

But when the door is opened it doesnt shut off so im guessing a slight electrical hiccup with a cut of switch or something?

any other advice on these points please?

The noise you refer to is possibly an air vent or door in the air con being activated by vacuum when the engine starts and stops. Not sure that it should do that, but if the air con works correctly, why worry?

check the switch in the door jam and see if it is stuck on or it may be stuffed
