    Default 3.46 gears + LSD

    Hey all,

Have been thinking about getting an LSD with 3.46 gears. Just wanted to know if anyone else has done this to an auto VY V6, and how it has responded.

This isn't exactly a stock car, e.g has already been lowered, extractors high flow cat and spots cat back, and a few small engine mods.

Anyone know of a good place to get the LSD and gears from in NSW?

    Cheers
    Daz

3.45's will make it a little more perky around town, but wont make it complete beast. Around town economy will be improved slightly because of the reduced strain on the drive line. But highway economy will reduce because the revs will be held higher

I have a VX V6 and I had a 3.45 LSD put in my car a while back. Bought it off ebay for like $500 and had it shipped up. It was off a VX V8 but fitted up perfectly, just make sure the connection is the same, either Universal Joint or Rubber Coupling (what I have).
Car responds quite a bit better now, better acceleration, corner under acceleration without one wheel spinning, safer in general.
The reason I didn't go to 3.9 or anything is because I do a lot of highway driving.

I'm pretty sure the V6 that Dazamaz is asking about only has 3.08 as standard.
