The vehicle has had aftermarket side skirts fitted in the last week also wing and rear bumper. Before that the vehicle had no bumper for about 4 weeks the boot is not wet and its just this area looks like edge of seat under the rear back seat a little but most of the damp water is on the floor could any one please help me with this problem and tell me what could cause this and has any one had the same problem. Also looking at the rear door next to the pilla the seal ther looks a little warn could this cause this problem thanks guys

could possibly be the rear door seal, has it been raining? could be water getting in, also a/c drain tubes could do this too if there blocked, seen and had this in my vr, but it was l/h/f floor. car hasn't been in an accident before? could be a panel not lined up properly, just some ideas, my boot used to leak water in my vr, was the boot seal, so could start at the door seal if it looks a little worn and go from there, a good quick easy spot to start, along with drain tubes(checking if blocked and un blocking) before chaseing anything major, good luck with it.

Another thing to check is has this car been in an accident that has caused damage to the chassie?

When mine was rear ended at 100kmh it caused the chassie to be out by 5mm and my rear pasenger side floor was getting wet due to the door seels not sealing correctly as a concequence.

Using a Vax i removed arround 2L of dirty water from my carpet just before it went into the pannel beaters to fix up the damage.

Since the chassie was straightened and alligned i no longer have a problem.

as far as i know every vy leaks there.
at least every one that my dad has sold has.
u lift up the rubber at the bottom of the rear right door(of the car frame, not the door it self)
and u put some building wire underneath, just something to push that rubber up.

building wire means just a single core electrical cable....i only thought of that because im a sparky and have plenty of it. Basically anything thats gonna pop the rubber seal up so the water goes outside, not inside. Kind of like a flood levvy. cable works well cause its round and u can cut it to fix

Take off the door trims and make sure the clear plastic sheets are sealing properly to the doors. If it's not sealed it'll let water in the door drip into the cabin. You can run a piece of duct tape along the bottom of the sheet just to give it a better seal.

Sorry to hi jack, though how do you unblock the a/c drain tubes, as my l/h/f floor is damp as well in my ute.
