Default Water Leak

Hey guys. My car had been serviced 2 days ago and now its dripping water Water pump is fine, Radiator hose is not worn and is clamped on tight. When i look under the car there are 3 small holes under the plastic guard which is underneath the radiator and this is where the water gathers then drips. I tried to look for a bung but could not find one because.. they may have not done it up all the way? But they didn't say anything about changing my water. Thanks.

if it dripping off the lower radiator shroud check the coolant isnt running back across from the bottom hose - seen that, and check that you havnt picked up a rock in the radiator,

either way take it back to who ever serviced it and tell em to check it.

yeah could be that, im not sure where the overflow hose on those bottles would be as i havnt had to pull one out, but they do hold alot of water in them,

just keep an eye on it over the next few days

Ok i checked it out today its coming from the bottom left when looking down from the front of the car there is also a small amount of oil around the area and in the water I think when it was getting serviced they could have bumped where the 2 connections which could have ruptured the radiator. So looks like a may need to buy a new one No point taking it back as they will just say it was fine when you left.

When you say "water" do you mean water water? Or Coolant?

Have you (maybe by co-incidence) started using your air con the last couple of days? As the weather has suddenly had a bit of a spike, it could just be the condensed wet air (for lack of a better description) dripping off the compressor/condensor/radiator?

Just a thought (which you may have already thought of) as I often notice that with my Boss's VZ's as they constantly have the air con going...

Has the water level gone down at all since you got it back? (when the car is both warm and cool)

It may just be water that has collected there after they washed down something in the engine bay. Is the battery on that side? Was the top of it wet as well?

I haven't been using the air-con. When i looked at the 2 pipes i found out that they just bypass the radiator so its not them. I pulled up at my parents on the weekend and it was dripping like a tap so i put some pepper in and its stopped But id say it will come back But im thinking of getting a pressure test done this week. I think there is a crack or some corrosion.

Just get it hot and run the front end up on some ramps or anything(safe) and get under there and see where its dripping from. It wont take a minute to spot it if you can clearly see drips coming out.

I just finished replacing my radiator after the sidetank on the radiator it self cracked (on the seal).. but to find that leak i had to pull everything out to lift up the radiator abit and then i could clearly see the dripping... but hopfully this is a worst case senario with your problem..

Sidetank :S I did a pepper job on mine but the next day i found out i can claim up to $500 on the radiator with my warranty! They have ****ed me off when it comes to the warranty but this one they will have to fix unless they pull some bs reason. Now i just need to make it leak again so they can see it. Also im leaking trans fluid from the 2 hoses at the bottom of the radiator Think they need replacing.. Clamps are tight

Here are some pics. What can you spot

Signs of leaking water?

In this last picture it seems to be power steering fluid. I have tightened the clamp again.

whoa, I am having the exact same issue with my car at the moment, right down to the liquid collecting at the bolts underneath the radiator and the oily liquid mixture being left behind on the ground whenever the car is still.

My main issue is that I am also losing a lot of coolant, for the few days that I was still driving it I emptied about 3/4 of a 5 litre servo coolant container into the reserviour before I decided to leave the car alone until I could get Holden to have a look at it for me. About a month back the entire res emptied itself onto the ground at work, and Holden claimed that nothing was wrong, but i've now gotten the low coolant message twice this month so it is going back in tomorrow.
