Default VY S-pack foglights install question

Just a wondering if someone could clue me up on the foglight installation, im going to buy the genuine SS lights and switch from holden. They quoted me for just the lights and switch, is that all ill need?

    1. Are the lights just a simple plug and play installtion (wiring already there)?

    2. is it difficult to change the light switch over and is that just plug and play
    kind of set up?

Any advise will be greatly appreciated .
    Cheers.

wow! I went to my adelaide holden dealer, who wanted $780 to do the job!

I took my car to Emtech at Edwardstown, and they carefully fitted both the lights, and relay switches, (to make sure that the drive lights turned off automatically when the ignition was shutdown), for around $180.

they look great. Just becareful when you remove the front spoiler...they are fragile!

They should be wired so that they only operate in conjunction with the parking lights i.e. the headlights switched OFF.

My VY S2 Berlina is fitted with them as standard. They operate with low beam on and off. Definitely standard in this configuration, no meddling has taken place with the wiring.

You will also need a relay its a very easy job the only hard part is fitting them without marking the paint as it can be a tight if in some cars, then remove the cover around the cluster so you can get to the headlight switch then the wires should be in the fuse box LHS next to the motor for the relay just plug it in

Are these the foglights for an SS front bar ? Was considering it myself.

Can't imagine Holden dealers trying to make a buck. What would the advantages of the extra $600 would be.
