VY S1 digiatl speed read out

does any one no how to get the digital speed read out on a vy s1 exc

Don't think you can. That along with instantaneous fuel (and a few others) is only available in cars with the 3 digital displays.

Holden have to activate "police mode" with tech 2.

Dont worry, all police mode is is the digital readout, it doesnt give the car another 100 kw or anything like that.

For some reason Holden thought it'd be a grand idea to make it a "police only" option, but they learnt to just keep it on from factory for the VZ which is a feature I love in the VZ

Just upgraded to a VY Acclaim 2 days ago and had the digital speedo turned on today at a dealer , cost me $50.

I've just bought a Series 2 Police Pack [ex Queensland Police Service] and it isn't on my car, but I'm seriously thinking about paying to have it activated. It's a cool idea...

if you hold the mode + set buttons whilst starting the car a serial number comes up. Hit mode and it'll have instantaneous fuel, digital speed, fuel pump resistance, and a few voltages plus a test screen for your cluster.

i just tryed this in my car it works in my car i have an 02 model why doesnt it do it in everyone elses

Yep that works in mine too , but the speedo is only a small one and you have to do that everytime you start the car.

doesn't activating the digital speedo override one of the other screens? So i heard anyway.

Bout to get a 3 lcd hsv cluster installed soon. got it. just sitting on it for some money to get it installed.
