Check engine Warning

Gday all
I have a 04 VY SS ute that had the Check engine alarm go off yesty . I switched car off for bout an hour, when i re started warning was gone, and car drove as normal, any ideas??

faulty computer maybe? same thing happened on my dads patrol, took it back to nissan on 5 occasions and still there, appears to be nothing wrong with the engine either. just comes on now and then
