MCAI into VY Ecotec ??? Help

Hi All,

Need some info please. All the forums I have read all describe putting the MCAI retro fit onto either VZ V6 or VY V8 etc.

I want to fit one to a VY/VX Ecotec.

I have the 3 part numbers for the MCAI add on, however the upper and lower airbox is different in the VX/VY.

1) Which lower airbox should get, VY V8 ??? Obviously cannot use existing due to current useless air intake hole.

2) Will it fit as from the pictures I have seen on the threads it looks to be angled different to the VY V6 lower air box.

3) Will the upper half of the VY V6 air box fit the new lower V8 airbox, I know they share the same size filter, but that would be 2 easy.

Any help would be great.

Got my hands on a VY11 Clubsport Lower Airbox. Went in no problems. However I had to make up some brackets so the VY lid would fit on the MCAI airbox.

Looks nice and stock and there is a definite increase in power and fuel economy.

Next I will do the 2 hole mod utilizing the original 90mm hole.
