03 vy auto same as 04 auto trans?

HI i been offered a 2004 vy auto trans will it be excatly the same as my 2003 vy auto trans ,any slight diffrences will me computa still be ok to run newer trans thanks

I would think they are the same. I doubt they would change the trans from series 1 to series 2.

2003 made some series 2 cars, chances are the 2003 box came from a series 2
