Hi every one
I just think about replace my vy commodore's fuel tank with the 2006 monaro's fuel tank and that because I wanna had a custom exhaust system with 2 side pipes (like the monaro) cuz I'm totally sick of that one side pipe
so does the tank gonna fit in my commodore ?
and if its doesn't ,what can I change to do that and what I need to do that.
that's all .
Well, seeing the monaro is a coupe and not a 4 door sedan, you may run into issues.
yeah but they have almost the same wheelbase, except the monaro has the tank in the middle,am I right ?
thanx for your reply Mack.
I wouldn't know about the fuel tank but a twin system on a v6 will drone like crazy.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car
get a fake tip put on the other side to match, problem solved minimal work required and no one will know bar u if done nicely![]()
by memory if you were going to do that you have to raise the fuel filler up heigher and you will have a pipe running in you boot. by memory thats what they did to the monaro

you can put a twin system in without changing the tank.
the system will come from the headers and stay split but side by side, all the way to just after the tank, then one will continue straight the other will go behind the rear bar and out the other side.
