clutch pedal free play

I am just wondering what distance from the floor the clutch pedal should sit in a VY SS?

I've just had a new clutch fitted by someone else (a "specialist") after buying the car a week ago because I didn't have all the information and the time to do it all myself.

The guy altered the clutch pedal free play after fitting the clutch as he thought it was causing the clutch to disengage slightly (it was slipping) , apparently the clutch manufacturer then told him to press the pedal 20 times to set the adjusting ring in the pressure plate.

Well , I don't really trust taking the car back to them in 3 weeks like they told me to do (I have a feeling they are after more of my money) so I want to reset the pedal height myself.

Could someone give me a measurement out of an "unaltered" car , the Haynes car manual that I bought is crap and doesn't have all this information , the reason I want to try adjusting it is because I think the clutch is a little too responsive sometimes (gets a bit jerky) , so I want to reset it to the standard setting.
