Th Door won't unlock
Well the drivers side back door won't unlock. The keys seem to be unlocking the other 3 doors but not that one. Can't even manually open it.
Child loc is also on aswell.
Is there anyway to get into that side?

yopur going to have to pull the trim off and have a look around. Sounds like the deadlock is stuck on
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

My guess is the door lock actuator jammed.
Well I locked the car and left it for a few hours and well it worked.
For the past 2.5wks when you lock the car it beeps at you, I thought maybe we were holding a finger on the button for too long, but nope.
Maybe the beep is letting us know something is wrong with the lock? as it doesn't do it all the time?
the beep is indicating that one of the doors isn't locked, common problem on vy to vz with lock actuators jamming.
From memory they're around $130 mark, but don't hold me to it.

Hmmm... mine is doin kinda the same thing... very annoying when I can't unlock the passenger doors and stuff so other ppl can get in...
Except this is an intermittent problem for me... sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't...
Yeah same sometimes it beeps when we lock it and other times it doesn't.
they jam up due to dust and dirt getting into the door and jamming up the actuator, there is a plastic weather cover behind the door trim but it doesn't protect the parts inside the door.
I fitted one today, quoted 200 including part and labour.
Takes about 20 to 30min if you know what you're doing.
Very common problem so don't think your car is the only one play up.
Have fitted over a 100 of these door lock actuator assembley's, used to do heaps when vy's were under warranty.
hmmm thanks for that. so who do I get to fix it? I don't like the holden dealers around here as they just rip you off and stuff up your car.
Not sure who could take it to up your way, any workshop could fix it.

The rear drivers side door has stopped lock/unlocking via the central locking as well. I have removed the door trim except for disconnecting the wire from the electric window switch. Is there a trick to doing this or are they just tight to unplug ?

Hi i have a monaro , yeah i know not really a commodore but someone may no cause theres a lot of head scratching going on , and to make it worse its the british version so guess where i am and theres not many dealers that know about them
anyway the problem is that the passenger side door will not unlock tried various different things for hours and still no luck but it had been playing up and not locking properly and now the opposite , so now cant get door open to have a look at actuator as from what i have read seems to be the problem .....any ideas anyone /////////////////////////////////
