3 windor dash conversion and speedo tricks

Hi All,

Just a quick couple of questions:

-Can I put a 3 window dash, from say a CV8, into a VY SS? I assume the fuel sender might need to be replaced as mine is a S2 car and the dash might be S1. What else needs to be done? What happens if the dash has less KM on it than the car does?

-What are the speedo tricks for VYs? Say the VZ digital speedo, etc...

the sender change may not be needed, the dash can be programmed to suit the reverse sender if needed, if you go ahead with the swap i can show you how to determine which sender you have.
the digital speedo can be activated yes, this needs to be programmed into the cluster.
the odo can be altered but it needs specialist programming.
basically it can all be setup to suit your car quite easily.

So, where is vic would I be able to get the programing done?

Also, lets just say i put the dash in and need to drive to work for a week o\r 2, the car will still be ok in the interium?

where are you located, if its too close to dromana ill start getting scared...
i can do it if you want to bring it this way.
its best not to put it in as if the srs (airbag) configuration is different it will log a code in the srs module.
i can program it on the bench so it will all work correctly.

I'm about to undergo this mod, too using a hsv s2 dash. if i put it in and it logs a code into the srs module, what does that mean?

secondly what info do the 2nd and 3rd auxillary lcds display?

it means the airbag system wont work & the dash needs to be configured to suit the car

where abouts can I go in Brisbane area, to have this dash installed, and calibrated correctly. Holden said they can put the K's onto it for me, but mentioned nothing about SRS code logging. this concerns me greatly because my fiance drives the ute too. I want it to be safe.
