petrol smell

hi all,
recently i have notices strong petrol small in the cabin, the last time I realize this was driving to the coast..a day ago..
i did used AC-for a while..
the car gets services every 10 000 k's...
i have realized a bit of excess petrol usage after i took it to service.. but i don't see any leakage...

any ideas??

i have an l67 vy and it has almost ALWAYS smelt of fuel.

Issue was raised in previous threads. It should not smell of fuel. After a lot of wasted time investigating this problem on my Supercharged V6; it was just a simple faulty petrol cap. Problem gets worse in summer when the petrol vapour expands in the tank and leaks via the petrol cap. This get sucked into the cabin via the boot vents located along the side bumpers. Bought a new petrol cap for ~ $20 from Repco and problem fixed! Too easy. Cheers
