Unhappy Convert VY V6 supercharged car to V6 N/A???

What do i need to change if i want to take out my supercharged V6 motor and put in a naturally aspirated ecotec V6. I have heard the boxes are different. The supercharged motor is no good and i dont want to keep throwing money at it to try and fix it.

I over heated it and cracked the heads. I have recbuilt the top end with new heads and all new gaskets. I got it runing but when i took it out it stalled at 120Km/h and i cant get it running at all now. I done the rebuild with a mechanic thats a mate of mine so it was done right. It looks like some more damage was done other than the heads.

There's nothing wrong with the supercharged v6 in the VY, it must be the work....no offense. They have a few components that require specialist knowledge.

One thing that is an idiosynchrasy of them is when they do go bad, a simple thing can seem like a big problem.

Where are you located? Hate to see you chuck away a perfectly good engine (if it's still good).

There are a few boys that have good knowledge of the L67 over there, OZ38 and Astro (forum names), I'd contact them at least b4 you throw out your engine and even if it's shagged Astro can help you with converting to an Ecotec, he has done plenty but usually the other way around.

Have you checked out www.l67torque.com • Index page ? They are on that forum and also there is alot of good info that may help you out.
