Question about Phillips bulbs (crystalvision)

Hey guys im new to the forum ,

Just wondering about swapping the bulbs on my VY SS to phillips crystal vision. I know I need phillips H4 crystal vision globes, but can anyone tell me what I need to change everything.. (ALL GLOBES, HIGHBEAMS, LOWBEAMS, TEARDROP LIGHT, FOGGIES ETC). .

I was looking at something like this:

those 4 globes, cover, low beams, and high beams both left and right. head to autobarn (or equivalent) and buy crystal vision parkers. you will need to remove battery to fit these globes, especially the parker on the drivers side

Dont quote me on it but lowbeam is H4, Highbeam is H1? and my spotties are H3, but i think the VY and VZ spotties are different, but could use the same bulb

With the tear drop it is just a normal wedge bulb. If your gonna go as fas as it sounds like you are, get some LED bulbs for the tear drop. Search for T10 wedge LED in ebay.

I've got T10 24LED wedge bulbs in my ute, blue vision spotties and a HID kit for low beam.

I bought some H4s for my low beams last week on ebay, cost was about $22 i think. I have seen them in supercheap for about $28. They aren't phillips but are just as good and half the price. Still haven't changed parkers, highs or foggies yet. Does anyone know any prices for the rest of these, i know parkers are cheap as...

Hi mate. Funny you have posted this, i am planning on doing the exact same thing shortly with the crystal vision globes to the exact same car as you. Had them in my old car and they were great.

VY SS lights work as follows:

Outer light globe = low/normal beam
Inner light globe = high beam
Teadrop = Parker globe

What you will need to do is buy a set of low/normal beams which will come with parker globes and fit them. If you want to fit high beams it is optional and they will come with parkers too i think, so you will have a spare set of parkers... which is good, because you can use them i think for rear number plate lights (did in my old car anyway). If you don't fit high beams then when you turn your high beams on you will see the low/normal beams in white and high beams in yellow.

You should note crystal vision globes are not road legal, but it is very very unlikely cops will notice.

The crystal vision parkers are included in the packs of low and high beams sold. You can see them in the picture on the ebay ad:

Buy them from ebay as autobarn sell them for about $100-120 a set.

Ok , so now i know I need H4 for the lows, H1 for the highs, T10 wedge LED (white xenon look) for the tear drop BUT I dont know what i need for the FOGGIES!!!

Yes use the spare parkers for your number plate lights.

For the foggies, if you want get another set of crystal vision (not sure what type of globe you need though i.e. H1, H4...). This will give you a third set of parkers which i don't think can be used but good for spares.

You could always leave your foggies stock (yellow), as the crystal vision globes actually let of less light than stock, so if you want your fog lights to work well keep them yellow. You can always change them later.

Not sure. Pull out a globe and go to autobarn they will tell you what it is. Don't buy it from there though.

Thats right. Plus you will get extra parkers with the foggies which you may be able to use somewhere. If i remember correctly, on my old pulsar i also used one in the boot as the boot light for inside the boot.

No idea have never tried. Might pay to ring holden tomorrow actually, could save us a lot of hassle. I've been googling and found nothing. If you find out let me know
