Default my electrics have gone psycho!

last night i was driving to a mates engagement party in the country and all the right hand side speakers cut out. thought it was a bit strange so i turned the radio off for 5 mins turned it back on and it worked fine, so thought nothing of it.

Then, i caught up with another mate for a bit and had all the windows down because it was a warm day, started the car and the windows didnt want to work and the radio display was not working. Also, none of the buttons on the radio would work but the CD in there was still playing but i couldnt eject, adjust volume etc but i could control it from the steering wheel controls.

mate happened to be a mechanic so he used a test light on every fuse we could find as well as testing the fuseable links with a multimeter. we disconnected the battery and re connected and the low fuel warning came up on my display but the car had a full tank but the radio fixed itself and decided to work fine, (windows still not wanting to work)

so we disconnected the battery again for 10mins, reconnected and the fuel warning disappeared, cluster went back to normal, radio remained working and windows still not working. so i parked it in a shed overnight with the battery disconnected all night.

so basically thats where im at- had to drive for two hours home on a 110km/h highway so pretty def right now from gettin windblasted by trucks.

has anyone had this happen to em before? i have a feeling it might be the BCM as it was affecting a few different things?

checked error codes but nothing came up and the "system check" says everything is ok.

im spewin right now because JC SA have a cruise today and now i have to ride shotgun with someone argh!

basically, took my car into the auto electrician today, they concentrated on the windows as the rest of the elecs have seemed to of fixed themselves. they said it was the power window relay failing. they tested it and it seemed to work fine but when they put a new one in the windows worked, so the old one was still working but not taking the current. all up cost me $55 incl relay. (pays to be in the trade lol)
