    Default Basic Mod Info

Hey guys, new to this forum, so here goes

Ive got a 2004 VY II ute which i got not too long ago. Im a landscaper by trade so i do use my ute for light-medium working loads. Atm my ute is riding pretty high at the rear and features some super STOCK wheels on it so being 20 im keen to get my ute lowered and some rims fitted but i had a queary or two which i hope some of you good people might be able to help me out with.

Firstly, how much effect would getting rims and lowering my ute have on the overall amount of weight i could carry. Ie could i only carry a small amount in the tray if i do these mods? or is there a way to carry just as much. Any rough ideas on prices or other advice would be great

depending on rim size and how much u lower it mate u might not be able to carry anything but it all comes down to the numbers, but the reason ur ass end is so high is for that exact reason so it can brace itself for the weight ull notice it on all stock utes but once there carrying something the ass is on the floor

    hope that helps

The rims im looking at come in 16 or 18 inch. As for how much lower i would get it, i guess not super low but just enough to look good. So as it turns out, i can have a ute that looks good or a work ute (leave it how it is) not kinda both?

u can get adjustable shocks and springs or airbags adj. would be way cheaper but airbags will give u an over all better effect

If you're in Sydney, I'd recommend talking to Heamans Steering in Tempe
Heasman Steering - Sydney steering system and automotive wheel alignment service

Crap website, but great shop. They really know their stuff when it comes to suspension, so I'd go and have a chat with them. They do airbags too, so if you want something adjustable (sounds like you might) they can help you out.
