Hey guys, just wondering if its worth cutting up my r8s CAI and chucking in a k&n filter in it. Would it help out much? Havent had a chance to open up the intake and have a good look but ive been told having a pod filter anywhere else besides inside the box is just wasting time since heat off the engine keeps from getting cold air in.
or are the hsv boxes already good enough without a pod filter in there? im pretty stuck on what to do
thanks
Just put a K&N panel filter in your existing airbox. Direct swap for the crappy paper factory one that's in there. I wouldn't bother with the pod filter bull**** on such a nice car. You will probably see better gains with a flat panel anyways.
Just buy an OTR intake and have it tuned. Not only will your engine thank you for it, you will tank yourself for having a car that actually performs.

^^^^^ OTR and MAFLESS tune (even mail order maffless will suffice) and enjoy the power gains =)
