my ss steering wheel seems to wobble pretty hard at speeds of like 100km/h. i havent taken it to holden yet, just curious as to what could be wrong with the front end.
cheers,
If you lightly apply the brakes does it get worse?? It might be a warped disc. (if the car has been driven through a puddle of water after braking hard that can leave a slight warp in the rotor)
If the rotor(s) is (are) warped you might be able to get it machined out, but you're better off replacing them unfortunately....

If it's tyres - it will wobble all the time at the speed you say - if its rotors then it will be when you brake.
To check the tryes put the fronts on the back. This costs you a little time but while the tyres are off the car you can have a good look over them and see if they have a bubble in the tread.

iv got a steering wobble in mine, it was at bout 100km/h then got worse and was bout 70km/h i knew i had 2 bad tyres on front, got 2 second hand tyres (was waiting on suspension) with bout 25% tread left and the steering wobble went away at speeds, but when braking i have a steering wobble, it goes if i stamp on the brakes, but is always there under light and normal braking, and was before i changed the tyres, could this still be tyres or the slotted rotors i have on it warped?
they've been machined as they had big lip edge from old pads.
warped i reackon
yeh, i might get a new set of rotors and change them and see what happens, would have lost a bit of strength when machined, was told was better to replace by the disc machiner as they sometimes have trouble with the slotted rotors loosing the majority of the slots when cut down
went to machine rotors, but they were to bad to machine, put a new aet of rotors on and steering wobble all gone nowthank you for the advice, glad i read this thread.
