My father just got his car (VY V6) back from Holden for a 135k service, and the report says that the car needs new "Front Z Bar Bushes", what the heck are these? Apparently they told him that it stops the wheel moving in the tyre arch when he brakes, and that sounds like the radius rod bushes. But I have no clue what they are talking about.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

they are the radius rod bushes, but mechanics seem to love using names that confuse people who dont know any suspension parts or refer to them as something else.
Oh ok, cool thanks. I know that the liquid filled factory bushes aren't the best for lasting a long time. The radius rod bushes is what I thought they meant, was hoping it was something cheaper but, hey its my dad paying for it. But i'll still get it checked by a suspension joint like fulcrum first.
-Thanks,
Adrian

ya might as well get fulcrum to replace em while ya there.
yeh these are the bushes on the front of the what some people call k frame, or z frame, they are part of the suspension, been told its a good idea to get an alignment after changing them as said they are the radious rod bushes and to make sure everything is ok in the alignment.
