Hi all, i have been looking/searching the forum but can't seem to find anything on this. (I am sure there would be somewhere - maybe my search terms aren't any good) If someone can put me in the right direction that'd be great
Cheers
For a V6 or V8?
Sorry should have said, V8.
Codes I have up at the moment are 24,25,28,18 and 2.
Looking to travel 1600kms in 8 days and would really like these fixed before.
Thanks
Where are you pulling these codes from? AFAIK Engine codes etc are read directly from the pcm & are listed P0101,P0102 etc.
Yeah have two read directly from PCM - P0171 and P0174 think these 2 are OČ sensors - which I replaced 20,000kms ago.
The other codes 2,18,24,25,28 have nothing to do with engine check light apparently.
Just spoke to Holden, could be a possible leak with PCV valve - or oČ sensors again.
Thanks
P0171 & P0174 are fuel trim system lean bank 1 & 2. This could be to do with any airleak after the maf sensor. First thing to do is check all the rubber hoses on the intake.
Extractors can cause o2 sensors from not working correctly also.
Codes make it easier! There's pages of codes LOL and i dont think i've got that much room left in my attachments after the PCM wiring diagrams.
Ahh screw it, i'll just do upload the PDF with 2 pages where the codes are listed.
Not true, 18 and 25 wont trigger the check engine light but 24 and 28 WILL.The other codes 2,18,24,25,28 have nothing to do with engine check light apparently
However, are you sure the code is a 2? That's not listed in any of my service manuals. Could it be a 3? If so that's the code that the data link layer flashes to let you know it's working.
Um, looks like the document is too big. So, i'm hosting it on my server, download from the following link:
