VY 2003 model Antenna & mast

Hi,

I have Holden commodore VY 2003 model.

The aerial Mast was broken. So i removed the entire motor unit and removed the mast and cable out.
By mistake i also opened the gear box of the motor unit and removed the gear.

After i put back the gears, and installed new mast and cable, the antenna goes up but the motor does not stop after the mast is fully extracted.
is there any timing for the gears?

As far as i'm aware thier supposed to extend to full length.
But i could be wrong.

My old VN was the same. The motor didnt stop till it was fully extended.

The antenna is extending fully, however the motor does not stop.

There is one main gear in the motor unit, which has a small projection which rotates another disc activating the start and stop timing of the motor.

By mistake i removed the main gear, also rotated the disc, thereby screwed up the timing.

I played around with the position of the gear and disc by trial and error, but no luck.

If anyone can give me the diagram for the motor/gear assy which explains the procedure to replace gears, that would be fantastic.

I have the same drama, the motor just keeps on going after i replaced the arial. I just twist the top of the arial clockwise and it seems to fix the problem for a little while!
