How Much Oil

Hi guys, Im changing the oil in my VY SS and just wanted to know how many litres they take.

ecotecs take about 5L when u change the oil filter at the same time...make sure u fill it then start it wait till it gets oil pressure turn it off then check again cuz it will go down as it fills the oil filter.

You got a handbook? It's all in there on the specifications page. I think it's 5.6 litres with filter.

From memory the VY V6's take about 5.8

Dont over fill.Put a little bit less than what they specify

its best to put an extra .5 as they can suffer from oil surge with hard breaking/cornering,acceleration

funny how all the people suggesting putin in less or exactly what the handbook has drive 6's lol, OP asking about VY SS which is ls1. GMMAD is spot on, like we said earlier throw in a little extra.
