I have the opportunity to purchase a complete leather interior, including door trims, from a VT/VX Calais. I intend to install them in my VY II Berlina.
A few questions for the forum'
1. Did the VT or VX Calais have side airbags as standard, like my Berlina has?
2. What is a fair price to pay and is there any difference between VT and VX Calais seats?
I know the set your talking about. I'd say $1500-$2000 no more. For 2-3k you can get brand new leather trim, so second hand stuff that comes with the seats and door trims should be no more than 2k.

The set went today on e-bay for $1035. I wasn't prepared to go over $1000 as the leather was dark grey and I wanted black. I had a look at it this morning and it was in pretty good nick - probably well worth the selling price.
Me? I's still lookin'......
THere is a guy selling leather seat covers on Ebay which you install yourself or get someone to do it. They look and feel genuine and cost about $600. I got some about 2yrs ago and everyone loves them.
Those leather seat covers are no good if you have side airbags.
Scored a full leather interior from a VY 2 Calais, with door trims, console and dash components with the velour trims for $1250 on e-bay yesterday. It will mean converting the Berlina from all black cloth trim to the two tone, cream leather and black trim. Should look interesting when finished.
hey calaber... what r u doing with ur black stock berlina trim???
ahh thats alright mate, was just thinking that sounds too good to let go to the scrapyard/wreckers.. not to worry cheers anyway..![]()
Yeah, I intended to take some "before and after" pics. At the moment, the car is completely black inside with nothing to break it up. It looks nice, but it's a bit dull.
The new upholstery is called "Light Shale", a cream colour. The door trims are black upper and cream lower, with cream leather inserts. The seats are all cream and the lower dash panel and side console trims are covered in a cream coloured velour. Should look pretty good, so photos will follow once the job's done.
