Default VY Berlina Series I Issues

Hi I have just purchased a VY Berlina and i have a quick question i am unable to find anywhere in the mode section in regards to the alarm I have locked the car and tried opening a door and nothin happens as the doors are dead locked it there any way of checking if it has a alarm as it is meant to have one?

Also is the car meant to have dual cliamte control as i can only seem to get the single temp display on the screen instead of two.

I alos believe the previous owner has installed this own fog lights or driving lights on the car but when i got it there was no holes in the front bar for them is there a way i can change the black insert to acccept them

lock the doors but dont deadlock them and have ur window open a bit. then stick your arm down and try lifting up the doorlock. or lock your doors and open your boot. That should get it mate.
Dont know about your climate control.
If he did have foggies on maybe he pulled them out and put back in the black covers back on. try pullin off the covers and you might find some wires sitting there taped up from where he took them off. if thats the case buy yourself a set of holden foggies and plug and play.

    Hope this helps

Thanxs mate I will try the alarm when I get home tonite, I have found the wires this moring they are there just no fogies. I cant remove the black bit as it is one long black piece in the Berlina not the same as in the other models where there is two black covers on the ends Also the buttons does not pull out for the fog lights

****. maybe he had in a seperate switch for them. Im not really sure about the berlina fog lights mate, maybe someone with a berlina can help out but if the wires are there wouldnt it be just be a matter of rippin off that old black trim and replacing it with one that has the fog lights or at least the fog light holes in it

I have rang a holden wrecker and the front bar for the Berlina with the fog light holes is like $200 unpainted. Will test when i go home plug a light into the wire wire plug and see what happens

lol its not a dual climate control, one side adjusts the temprature by 1 degree and the other blue and red button pushes the temprature to the max or minimum.

As for the fog lights u can buy a lower grill insert for ur car with foglight inserts for $170 bucks, it is the long black piece with 2 holes

dual climate is for higher spec models another bull**** thing the dealer says to try and make a sale

they advertised my old berlina as a series 2 with dual climate and a few other non existant features.

you can get that fog light thing from any holden dealer, i did this upgrade to myne but didnt get around to having it wired, there is no factory wiring loom in the series 1 for fog lights.

ps. not a whole lot of clearance when installing the fog lights either so be prepared to waste a bit of time trying to line it all up without breaking anything

Nah, sorry mate. The only reason I sold the bar was because I am upgrading the front of the car to a Series 2 Calais and the grille had to go. Lights are still firmly attached and staying there.
