    Default VZ Fluted guards question

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering if someone could answer a question regarding the VZ / VY fluted guards?

My question is if you fit these and water gets inside (Rain or washing the car)where does it drain out from or do you have to drill holes somewhere to let any water that gets in out?

If someone already has these fitted or is a vz owner would you mind helping with my question.

    Regards

    Rob

dunno exactly, but wouldn't it just drain out the bottom of the guard without needing to drill holes etc

Not sure, but keep an eye on eBay - they do come up cheap....any ideas on the water question?

All guards are made to drain out the bottom, regardless of whether they are SS or standard design as they are only a single skin design. The inner plastic lining is really only a protector against stone damage - there are plenty of gaps between it and the guard to allow the water to escape.

Thanks for the reply and completely understand now how the water will be released.

I am having some custom Flutes made for the VY SS as I don't want to be like all the rest of the sheep using VZ Flutes, so having this answer will help me now to complete the install.

    Regards

    Rob.
