    Default Sensor in the airbox?

What's it for and is it essential to running a car well?

I have plans for a CAI but won't be able to use the plug. Let me know, cheers.

It's the IAT (Inlet Air Temp) sensor. This is part of the ECU calibration sensor set up used with the MAF, TPS and O2 sensor to constantly monitor the state of tune and efficiency.

Just bung it into the intake pipe somewhere, it will be better than seperating it from the intake air completely. Alternatively you can purchase one of these to extend the wiring without hacking into your loom

    Casper's Electronics, Inc.: "IAT Extension 12"" "

I've purchsed from these guys and their stuff is very OEM.
