SRS Side Air Bag - Location?

Does anyone know where the side air bag on a VY Commodore is located?

Assume they're either located behind the plastic panel on the rear of the front seats, or more likely the panel of the doors...???

Also is it safe to have rear facing car seats installed? Particularly if the side air bags are located in the front seats, and the rear facing seat is up against the front seats...

side air bags are in the sides of the front seats. 2 in each seat.
I'd assume then that having anything other than a adult in the front seat is a bad idea

Thanks for that... Assume they inflate to cover the windows? one forward one back?

Sorry, I meant is it safe having the rear facing car child seat in the rear of the car immediately behind the drivers seat (child seat touching the back of the drivers seat)...

It should be quite ok for the child seat to be placed as you want. The side air bag inflates to fill the gap between the driver and the door and pillar. All the inflation takes place towards the front of the seat, none of it intrudes into the rear passenger space.

It doesn't cover the window - that only occurs if you have curtain air bags, which weren't available in VY's.

They are located in the bolster on the top half of the seat and they deploy towards the front and up
