    Default T10 wedge led's

I've done a quick search on this topic, but havn't found a link,so don't through rocks if i've missed anything.Has anyone had problems with T10 wedge led's blowing(from ebay)?I'm using them for the front parkers(which look really cool when working) and i've gone through three sets of these and none of them seem to last more than a month or two.I've had the car electric's checked out and there's no problems there(apparently)? So i've come to the conclusion that i keep buying crap bulbs.Does anyone know of a company that make a decent led that doesn't blow by just looking at it?Lol
    Thanks,Tim

Most of the problems with these come about because the halogen globe - which is relatively close to the parker bulb positon - gets so hot when it's in operation that it one way or another causes the LED, or more often the plastic housing, to fail. The ones you get from eBay are really only suitable for dash illumination and such. In a headlight housing they just get too hot.

Trentvy - it seems the ones from Ricebarn might be a little better made than the "eBay specials" - then I'll bet they cost a bit more too. We gets what we pays fer!

Thanks for the ref Banks - I've actually been looking for a solution for my parkers - would like to put white LEDs in there, but they have to handle the heat and be a good wide angle distribution, so that they bounce some into the reflectors.

Don't forget too Banks - the SS headlights have a good distance between the headlight halogen and the parker globe - those of us at the "pov" models have the halogen and parker globe in the same housing.

LOL!! And thanks for the vote of confidence there Tim - I wouldn't go as far as "guru", I just have a clue or two about what I do. To be honest I haven't looked too much into the exterior lighting with LEDs, but am about to have a bit of a swing at that - for now I'd have a look at what this fella can offer. I reckon I just might as well!

Banks, I'll get back to you soon re your PM.
