Ok i have a vy ss ute. I wanna put dark tint on. Whats the darkest i can pput on in perth? I heard if its a commercial vehicle you can go down to 20%? what classifies as a commercial vehicle?

Never knew they got exceptions, thought it was only special vehicles such as ambulance/police/government etc

I'm pretty sure the darkest legal tint here in NSW is 35% or it could be 30%

But you generally dont have any problems with the law depending on how dark you go....my evo has 15% on it which in my opinion is perfect, its nice and dark but people can still see through on certain angles with better light and I've never had problems with police, havent had to have it checked for rego yet but on my previous car had similar tint and had no problems.
My mate has 5% on his monaro, now thats too dark..you CANNOT see in at all.

yeah i read that if the car/ute is used as a courier they can have darker tint, not sure though. TKO tinting looks ok in perth, does anyone know of them?

think you can have as dark as ya like on the rear window, 30% on the drivers and passengers

Ended up getting 27% all round and looks nice without attracting too much attentions from the cops.

as far as i no u can have as dark as u like on any window that does not wind down, so the police or wateva cant slide there little test gadget over the window, duno how true this is but iether way its only good for back windows and space cab windows
