Default Major issue with Immobilizer on VYI SS

    Guys,

Last Friday night Ive experienced something that never happened to me before and hasn't happened since. I done a search and no results where found.

Walking to my car unlocked it with the central locking, jumped in and went to winde it over, it started then in about a 1 second laps it shut down, I repeated it about 4 times a noticed that the clock like was dimming almost to a black as the car would shut down in that 1 second gap. After thinking it was the battery I put my head lights on and everything was perfect so I couldn't understand.

At this point what I had done was turn my car on ignition (all dial lights appear) but didnt actually turn it over and noticed at this stage the little *Pad Lock* red light under the temp gauge was still flashing as if it was still immobilized. At this point I was freaking out as I has not idea what to do, so I though maybe if I reset it, it would then be fine, I got out of the car with keys in hand went to lock it and nothing, the buttons on the remote were not working besides the boot. For lock or unlock, I went back in and put on the ignition again and it was still there. Took the key out and just gathered my thoughts over a smoke and after realising I truly have no freaking idea what to do I went in for one last try on the ignition to find the flashing padlock gone, cranked it over and it started as if nothing was wrong.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with it and if so whats to be done???

    Thanks guys.

    Regards

    Jase

Sounds like someone set your alarm off while you where away and activated the immobiliser, fairly sure after a while the immobliser resets? But I'd say find the pricks haha
