Okay well today my car went in for a service and well the service only cost $295, pretty happy bout that.
I had also asked them to go over the whole car and to list the things that need to be done to it.
Heres the list:
2 rear tyres (knew about 1, been on for almost 6mths)
camber kit-inner and outer arm (been saying that the whole time)
clean throttle body
front disc machined and front brake pads
handbrake lever
rhr door actuator
Could anyone give me some rough prices and where to buy from please.
sometimes it is cheeper for you to get new disks rather than machining the old ones. its safer too.
HEY places like autobarn or supercheap or repco have brake pads and discs and throttle body cleaner spray jus read instructions on how to use but your local brake shop may be a lil cheaper for brake shop .
as for tyres that should be obvious
as for camber wise maybe your local peders or suspension specialist
and handbrake lever and actuator can be brought from your local holden spare parts or even wreckers if your lucky
as for prices make a few phone calls and get the best price around
Now I have a question. Do I need the camber kit if the car has adjustable arms?
Yeah we were thinking of getting brand new disc anyways.
As for the tyres I didn't really think they were that bad, 1 we knew it would soon retire but its only like 2inches on the inner sides at the back.
yeh the irs rear end scrub the inner edges quite bad, the thing though if u leave them the will scrape that inner edge to the belts below the rubber, seen this many times, lots of good tyres out there, bf goodrich iv found to be good tyres, put them on my dads au ford and my sisters toyota corrola, as well as a lot of cars at work and there a good price.
Should I go all out and get slotted discs? Whats the price difference?
