2003 holden vy s pack lsd?

im pretty sure the vy's s pack sedan doesnt come out in lsd unless you have it optioned, and unless its a ute only then they are lsd's easy wai is jst go under the car and check ))

you can check yourself, get under the back of the car and you'll see the diff, on it will be a metal dog tag looking thing that will say "LSD" if it doesn't say it then yours isn't an lsd, that also being said i believe that most of the lsds in the s packs are 3.08 (correct me if i'm wrong)

They didnt come standard so check if it has a tag on the diff, but if it has had new internals fitted then it might not havee the tag

where abouts would the tag be at?? .. is it easy too spot?

tag should normally be on the housing of the LSD

If its a LSD it will have " LSD" stamped on the Diff Oil Filler Plug tag. If its non LSD it will have "High Performance Diff" stamped on the Oil Filler Plug Tag. Also theres a Barcode plate on the Drivers side of the diff housing with the ratio & whether its "LSD" or not written above the barcode, (often obliterated by dirt & grime)

Not totally correct.

I ordered my VY S pack car with the optional LSD.

Yes there is a metal tag attached to the filler plug (rear of diff) and imprinted on the tag is: " LSD USE APPROVED LUBRICANT AND FRICTION MODIFIER"

There is NO other LSD identifier on the diff that is decipherable to the owner.

There is the usual ("do not remove") white bar code sticker on the driver's side of the diff housing but this does not indicate if the diff is LSD or not. On my diff , the sticker contains a bar code as well as the ID and SERIAL NUMBER codes together with the diff ratio and "FH" in large letters.

Maybe the white stickers on some earlier diffs identified the LSDs but not on the LSD unit fitted to my VY (unless you can decipher the serial number or other codes). Just the metal tag is the identifier.
