Hmmm, its not so much a 'shift kit' like you can do in the earlier models, but you can put a corvette piston? or something like that, and some chunkier springs in the valve body and stuff like that... I think,?

    anyone??

Transgo HD2-C should do it. Just make sure it's set up as per the instructions to the letter and it will extend the life of your box.

I DIY installed one in my car but got Billet servos and upped the line pressures too much and it killed my box. I did thye same kit in a mates car with just a Corvette servo (about $150 cheaper than a Billet one!) and the thing is still shifting sweetly and consistently after a year and a bit.

It's a genuine hardware mod, not some bluff crap.

Hey chargedvx6, are these 'kits' easy to install??

does it require drilling out the oversize oil ports in the valve body or anything like that??
or is it just a simple 'add - on' / 'swap parts' type mod..??..

I'm pretty cluey with the ol' spanner, but haven't seen inside a car auto - box for quite a while, (mainly the bigger stuff..) If they come with a DIY instruction kit I think I should be able to do it, yeah??

And how much did it set you back??

And is it like a full manual shift, or just beefed up auto-shifting??
